The Peace Gardens are a destination where community is built. We are an eclectic collection of gardens, art, and people…a place to find plants, produce, Black history, inspiration, and deeper connection - creating a culture of health and sustainability that’s inclusive and economically just. 

Asheville-based arts and arts service organization, providing high quality, professional theatre, performance, and arts experiences to Asheville audiences of all ages, and offering fiscal sponsorship and related services to sibling social enterprises and arts nonprofits.

Our program empowers youth with cultural competence, trauma-informed practices, and hands-on learning to build skills, confidence, and career readiness. Through workforce development in fields like construction, green technology, and entrepreneurship, participants gain real-world experience and prepare for sustainable careers.

The Community Accountability Plan (CAP) revitalizes historically African American neighborhoods by focusing on arts, environment, and social enterprise. It empowers communities to leverage strengths, address local needs, and build resilience through youth leadership, collaboration, and sustainable practices.

This mixed-use climate resilience and entrepreneurial hub redefines what it means to build a thriving, connected community. A mix of affordable housing, commercial kitchen, retail market, performing arts center, co-working space, and a community spa that together serve as a crisis shelter and a hands-on training site for youth.
